Most of the horror stories people tell about long-distance moves come from the shared-load model, where your sofa rides with three other households, sits in a depot for a week, and gets handled by crews who never met you. We don’t run it that way. Your shipment is the only shipment on the truck.
Everything leaves from our DC base, rolls out via I-395 or US-50 to I-95, and goes straight to your door. Because the same movers handle it the whole way, nothing gets lost in a hand-off and there’s one crew accountable for how it arrives.
How We Price a Long Haul
Long-distance is a binding flat rate — not an hourly meter that runs while you sit in Mid-Atlantic traffic. We quote it from a real inventory of your home, the distance, and the access on both ends.

Long-distance flat rates start at $2,400 as a binding written quote on your own dedicated truck. A $129 deposit holds the date and comes off the total, with up to $1,000,000 cargo coverage per shipment.
What’s Not Included
To keep the binding number binding, a few things are quoted on top and shown clearly on your estimate:
- Packing materials and labor, if you want us to pack — full-pack from $440
- Pianos, safes, and oversized specialty pieces, from $379
- Storage in transit if your destination isn’t ready, climate-controlled from $70/month per vault
- Emergency no-parking permits on the DC end to stage the truck
