Our storage runs by the vault, a self-contained wooden container that we pack tight and pad just like the truck. Your belongings go into your own vaults rather than getting scattered across an open floor, so nothing gets nicked by someone else’s load and everything comes back the way it went in.
The space is climate-controlled, which matters in the Mid-Atlantic. DC summers are hot and humid and the winters bring the occasional ice; wood furniture, electronics, and anything upholstered don’t belong in an un-conditioned unit through either. Ours holds a steady environment year-round.
